About the Software:
Taguette is a free, open-source tool designed for qualitative research. It allows users to import, highlight, and tag text-based materials, much like using color-coded highlighters on paper. Taguette works locally on macOS, Windows, or Linux, keeping your data secure, or on a server for collaborative work. When your analysis is complete, you can export your project, codebook, and tagged quotes for reporting or archiving. Taguette empowers researchers to conduct transparent, reproducible, and organized qualitative analysis—without cost barriers.
About the Trainer
The session will be led by Vicky Rampin, the Librarian for Research Data Management and Reproducibility at New York University’s Division of Libraries. An expert in open scholarship, data management, and reproducible research, Vicky Rampin supports researchers in developing high-quality, transparent workflows. They contribute to open-source projects such as Taguette and ReproZip, advocating for openness in data, code, and tools across disciplines.
