 hristine Jung-Dahlke (NHIB)\n\nIn the age of digital science more and more
  information systems based on curated data for a certain research field be
 come available. Scholars can use information systems to analyze data and d
 raw conclusions\, which are then written down in scientific publications. 
 Arguments contained in the publications can\, however\, usually be tied to
  data with a lot of effort only. Visualizations for scholars\, for instanc
 e\, in particular 3D visualizations with immersion effects\, although very
  valuable for getting insights\, can hardly be made available with current
  technology in such a way that other researchers can indeed verify the arg
 uments that a scholar derived from 3D display elements (and more conventio
 nal display elements) shown in information systems. Pictures and videos th
 at are usually referred to are no longer enough for scientific argumentati
 on in the digital age. The presentation discusses the current state-of-the
 -art in scientific information systems and provided new ideas for combinin
 g data display\, citation\, and verification of arguments using formal mea
